ASUS Transformer Prime has a thickness of only 8.3mm and weights only 586g. The tablet comes equipped with Nvidia Tegra 3 and Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The new Transformer generation comes totally changed. And if the first Transformer was wow, Prime is the flagship from the tablet market. ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime is the first tablet in the world with NVIDIA Tegra quad-core 3 processor and has appeared in two color palettes available (gray amethyst and gold champagne).
ASUS is the first premium brand to integrate Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on his tablets.
Strengths of tablet are given by NVIDIA Tegra 3, with a Super IPS+ screen, 10.1 inch high brightness, high sound quality, impressive battery autonomy and the option to connect to a versatile docking station.

ASUS Transformer Prime is part of the elite tablets that can compete with iPad in the innovation chapter and say that is the best in the market. Apple did not invent the idea of tablet, only managed to launch a model at the right time and to use innovation and marketing to enter the market. Requirement such as portable exploded and more and more manufacturers have started to search for the winner in this segment.
ASUS has come up with a well thought system and managed to provide a unique design to the Transformer. Eee Pad Transformer already boasts with an IPS screen, with wide viewing angle of 178 degrees, protected by Corning Gorilla glass, but Transformer Prime goes on being improved with the Super IPS+ panel with bright light for reading in better conditions for the exterior lighting.
ASUS Transformer Prime - Display
Start by saying that the tablet comes with docking site in the box, which is lower than that found in the ASUS Transformer tablet.
We were impressed by the ultra-thin metal casing of only 8.3mm, even if the GPS or wireless will have had less to suffer. Asus logo is also present in the center and we can find at the top an 8MP camera with auto focus and LED flash.
The docking station is the ace in the sleeve from Asus to fight its competitors. Besides the tablet provides a physical keyboard, it extends its functionality. Perhaps the most important thing is that increases the battery life of the tablet and tablet autonomy with up to 18 hours.
Asus has equipped this item with USB 2.0 and Card Reader (MMC/SD). The chiclet type keyboard is much improved over the first generation and is a lot like the ones from the Eee PC series. Although not full-size, it is pleasant for user experience. Adding functional above the numerical solutions is a plus. They have control over WiFi or Bluetooth activation, but also the trackpad, screen brightness, browser, general settings, controls all media and blocking the device. In addition to these changes I noticed that the Escape key has been replaced by "Back" and the Windows key with "Home".
Asus has added a multitouch touchpad with a satisfactory amount of tactile surface and a button that has a dual function: left click and right click. The trackpad is precise, and the surface is easy to use.
Remember that ASUS Transformer Prime has a metal casing, the display is 10.1-inch Super IPS+, has a thickness of only 8.3mm and weighs only 586g. Docking comes with the tablet, weighing 536 g, and together with the tablet leads the autonomy to up to 18 hours.
