The big day has arrived! A 3-generation of Intel Core from Ivy Bridge series, has officially invaded the 2012 portables.
It is the successor of ASUS G74S model, and is based on Ivy Bridge processor and NVIDIA GeForce "Kepler". The first information about the new generation of laptops from ASUS appeared at CES 2012. Regarding configuration, from January and so far, not much has changed.
Its top configuration is: Intel Core i7-3720QM - 2.6GHz, 16GB DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M, mixed storage - 256GB SSD and 750GB hard drive, full HD resolution and 3D display.
I was impressed by the new thinner, more stylish, more practical design that still retains an aggressive touch. ASUS G75V is a high performance notebook for gamers who do not want to carry a PC at gaming events or doesn't have enough space for a complete desktop at home. It is a success for the biggest games from the market.
Nvidia 3D Vision technology with the new 3D Vision 2 glasses provides a new dimension to gaming and video. The glasses are comfortable, and watching a movie in 3D is no longer a burden. The brightness is not as low as the 3D models from 2010 or 2011.
ASUS G75V strengths:
In the middle of the cover you can see the ASUS logo and ROG logo. Housing is largely covered by a rubberized plastic, gentle, a black matt. They used the same type of material encountered on the previous generations.
The screen of 17.3 inch Full HD LED provides excellent viewing angles. I always appreciated in these models the gaming ergonomics. A slightly tilted keyboard helps to practice a relaxing gaming.

On the left side we have: 2 USB 3.0 ports, optical drive (Blu-Ray in our case), card reader and audio and microphone ports.
On the right side we have: 2 USB 3.0, Thunderbolt port, HDMI port, RJ-45 network port, VGA port and power port.
Front LEDs have only indicators, and on its rear some air vents.
Lifting the lid, the same keyboard found on the G74S. Nothing changed the basic structure, little adaptation of design. The chiclet type keyboard rests on a metal frame. Doesn't flex and provides key lighting operation in dark environments.
At the top, near the on/off, there is a special button. Through a simple touch you can turn your laptop into a true 3D. The touchpad is not inferior. Supports multi-touch, respond quickly to tasks, and is easy to use. Buttons are strong in terms of construction, but very easy to hold.
