ASUS kicked off the netbook range by launching the first generation of Eee PCs in 2007. It was them who launched the first model, which also had the widest range in this segment. Unlike other manufacturers, ASUS has stubbornly believed in these mini laptops and has steadily improved to provide the best portable experience.
Proof lies in the fact that ASUS continues to produce netbooks and even target new figures from market. So ASUS doesn't give up yet for the mini class even announces new netbooks. We are talking now about the new 11.6-inch ASUS Eee PC 1225B netbook, a model equipped with AMD Fusion platform, namely E2 Vision Series. This platform is seen by the E-450 dual core processor and AMD Radeon 6320 graphics card.
ASUS 1225B - Specifications
We can say that ASUS 1225 Flare series looks great on the outside. Taiwanese manufacturer design the "shell" and comes up with something new on the market. The part of the new Eee PC Flare range, a new generation of daring! ASUS 1225B comes with a silver housing with a pleasing design, stylish, compact and slimmer than the older generation. The name may come to think of a diagonal of 12.1 inches, but the model has a 11.6 inch screen with 1366 x 768 resolution. The display made a good impression, even if it's glossy.
ASUS 1225B is not as slim as Asus ZenBook UX31 or powerful as Asus G53SX, but is perfect for those who want portability and a cheap reliable "friend".
ASUS Eee PC 1225B strengths:
- Lower operating temperature;
- Good performance;
- Good price and range of configuration part.
ASUS Eee PC 1225B weaknesses:
- No upgradeable;
- Chrome edges were not exactly on our taste;
- Glossy screen can be considered a minus if we consider small viewing angles and reflection;
Asus Eee Pc Flare will replace the Eee PC Seashell series. The concept was created after the idea is inspired by fashion, mobility and modern lifestyle. Comes with a more personal design, more pragmatic. ASUS Eee PC 1225B has a thickness from back to front, measuring about 35 mm in the thickest point.
He can leave a feeling of a little better built netbook, more curdled and solid. Furnishings are without reproach. Maybe the chrome side elements are slightly annoying, but that takes your taste.
The keys are well defined, made of a softer plastic material and less noisy than those found on competing models or ASUS 1215. I appreciated the big Enter and normal arrow keys. I also liked the trackpad, somewhat smaller, but more practical. Is more limited by the palmrest, given that everything is under one silver color. The buttons are integrated into the trackpad, something appreciated by me and I truly believe that all of you can use them without too much pressing effort. The touchpad is not inferior, responds well to commands and supports multi-touch gestures.
In terms of temperature, the netbook is doing impressively well. The processor does not exceed 65 degrees in the way of hard work and the housing is cool, but everything with a less annoying noise price!
The operating time on battery is also very good. ASUS 1225B has a 6-cell battery to 5200 mAh/56 Wh, and autonomy can be up to 5 hours. Given the configuration and size, I was satisfied with its performance. Depending on usage, the autonomy is ranging.
We can say that the ASUS Eee PC 1225B is moving pretty well. Operating system starts relatively quickly and everything is ok for a cheap netbook.
